How the First Aid Course in Zurich Runs
We show you transparently what awaits you in the 10 hours – from check-in through practice stations to sending the certificate. Everything takes place centrally at Zurich main station.

Check-in & Warm-up
We open the course room about 20 minutes before start. There you receive name tags, materials and get to know the instructors. After a short introduction, we clarify expectations and safety rules.
The first module focuses on self-protection, securing the accident scene and the correct emergency call – including practical exercises for various traffic situations.

Practice Blocks with Real Scenarios
Modules two to four consist of intensive practice blocks. You practice cardiopulmonary resuscitation, recovery position, pressure bandages and how to mentally manage stressful situations.
Our instructors come from rescue services, army or fire department and share experience from operations in Zurich road traffic.

Completion & Certificate
At the end, we repeat the most important points, answer questions and explain how to apply for your learner's permit. Then you will receive your certificate by email within 24 hours.

How is the first aid course structured in terms of time?
The course lasts 10 hours. We usually combine a Friday evening (4 hours) with a Saturday morning (6 hours including breaks).
What practical exercises await me?
You practice resuscitation (CPR), AED, recovery position, bleeding control and securing an accident scene.
Do I have to pass an exam?
There is no final exam. The instructors guide you through exercises and give individual feedback.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing and flat shoes are ideal because you move or kneel during the practical units.
Are there breaks and refreshments?
Yes, several short breaks as well as a longer break on Saturday. Snacks and water are available, and there is additional gastronomy in Europaallee.
